Khadi is the oldest and a traditional form of handspun fabric of India. Khadi is looked upon as our heritage and as we are all aware that Mahatma Gandhi promoted khadi by making a spinning chakra and weaving khadi, his birth anniversary is synonymous to “Khadi day”. India is the land where hand-made artifacts from fabric to architecture having spiritual beauty have a significant impact on the soul. Reviving this spirit on Gandhi Jayanti, we at CM international school organised a “Handicraft festival” on 2nd October 2018. The fest being open to all, we had eatery stalls been put up by our own students. People from outside too were invited to exhibit their hand-made artifacts. The amount collected from the sale made by our students to be donated for a charitable cause. Thus the significance of our tradition and humanitarian values instilled in our children in a remarkable way.
