“To the world you may be a just a teacher but to your students you are a hero”
A teacher is not only the person who teaches syllabus to students. Right from pre-schooling to colleges & universities, they play an essential role in shaping the future of students.
I still remember that phase when the Covid-19 pandemic hit us, and the world of education changed overnight with the sudden lockdown imposed all over the country. With a dynamic shift from physically going to educational institutions to attending classes, virtually students and teachers faced a tough time.
Shifting from the traditional model to a more unconventional way of teaching made it difficult both for teachers and students to adopt and adapt. While jumping into a new mode of teaching with almost no preparation wasn’t easy, but we teachers did not back down.
For us, it wasn’t an easy task. We were not trained to use technology for the purpose of teaching. Everyone was using technology but not in this manner and we all thought it would last about 3 months or 4 months then we would get back to the normal way. Now it’s almost three years and we do our assessments, connect with the students online only making them learn everything through online was a toughest work for us as a teacher.
We made every possible effort to impart students with the knowledge so that they don’t deprive from the education. We came up with innovative methods to teach and retain the attention of students. We went the extra mile to adopt technology to reach the homes of every student. Right from the virtual classes, preparing ppts, worksheets showing them models, by giving them day to lives example.
Teaching is one of the most appreciated jobs and is one of the most satisfying jobs. Teachers have a huge role to play in the country’s growth.
Today most of teachers are able to adapt to technology. The future of learning has to be hybrid and student-centric
All thanks to the management for trusting in us, motivating us to deliver our best.
